The cities of Burns and Hines are part of the larger community of the High Desert, frontier country of Harney County. Harney District Hospital and High Desert Medical Clinic, located within two miles of The Aspens, are new and modern facilities with a staff of doctors who are interested in geriatric care. These services are complemented by strong Home Health and Hospice programs and a model senior center that is currently undergoing expansion.

The Veterans’ program provides medical care, including a general practitioner and other outreach services. There are three churches within walking distance of The Aspens and several other faith communities in the vicinity. The convenience of nearby services is paired with a beautiful setting complete with wide expansive views, quiet shaded areas for reflection, and inspiring walking paths that invite peaceful enjoyment of the outdoors.

Exceptional Care Staff

Our entire staff is committed to pursuing the highest quality of life for our residents. Daily care is provided by dedicated caregivers, with oversight provided by a registered nurse. We offer personalized care to support our resident’s unique needs and preferences. Staff is available 24/7, so when assistance is needed with ambulation, doctor appointments, bathing, eating, incontinent care, medication management or dressing, day or night, we’re there, ready, able and willing to provide what’s needed.

Our friendly and competent staff receive regular and extensive professional training and continuing education well beyond what’s required for certification or licensing. It’s one of the many ways The Aspens is committed to delivering exceptional service.
